Konde leads Khare Chess tourney

Gaurav Konde secured 6.5 points and ended up top of the leader board at the end of the eighth round of the Ashok Khare Memorial chess tournament being held at the Club of Maharashtra hall on Tuesday.

Gaurav Konde secured 6.5 points and ended up top of the leader board at the end of the eighth round of the Ashok Khare Memorial chess tournament being held at the Club of Maharashtra hall on Tuesday.

Konde,who has a rating of 2134,beat Pinak Jedhe (1580) to reach the top of the standings. Both Ketan Khaire and Shailesh Jaiswar shared the second spot after beating their respective

opponents Hrushikesh Salvekar and Kiran Panditrao.
