Kejriwal to campaign in Pune, Maval

Party sources said Kejriwal was supposed to address meetings in Pune and Maval on March 11.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal is set to hit the campaign trail in Maharashtra. He will be in the state from March 11-13 on his first visit after the Delhi Assembly elections and his 49 days of chief ministership. Besides Pune, Kejriwal is scheduled to address public meetings in Maval, Mumbai, Nagpur and some other parts of the state.

Preeti Sharma Menon, official spokesperson of the party, said the details of the visit were being worked out.

The party has till now declared 13 candidates for the Lok Sabha polls. Other than Pune and Maval, candidates have been declared for Thane, Mumbai, Jalna, Beed and a few other seats. State convenor Anjali Damania, activists Medha Patkar, Maruti Bhapkar, Sanjeev Sane, Subhash Lomate, bankers Meera Sanyal and Lalit Babar are some of the candidates in the fray.

Party sources said Kejriwal was supposed to address meetings in Pune and Maval on March 11. The next day, he is likely to address rallies in Thane and Mumbai and move on to Nagpur and other regions from there. Other than public rallies, he would also be holding meetings of party workers and leaders.

Kejriwal has already held rallies in Haryana and is currently in Uttar Pradesh for campaigning.
