The ongoing S1 Inter IT tournament saw Infosys,BMC Software and HSBC Global Technologies register emphatic victories over S1,Cybage and Amdocs respectively at the ongoing S1 Inter IT tournament on Saturday.

In the first match played between S1 and Infosys,Infosys won the toss and elected to bat on a flat Tata Motors ground. It was a decision that proved to be a correct one for them as both openers Junaid Mustafa and Sutirth Bagchi shared an opening stand of 67 runs of 53 balls which cemented the deal for them in the initial overs. After Bagchi departed for a quick 23,Mustafa shared another partnership with Sandeep Abhyankar,of 91 runs off just 46 balls, which saw then take the S1 bowlers to the cleaners. Mustafa remained not out on 85 with Abhyankar chipping in with a useful 54. The S1 batsmen had a huge task to accomplish on hand when they walked in to bat needing 203 for a win in 20 overs. The mountain of a total always looked improbable for the S1 team, which kept losing wickets at regular intervals. And save for the willow of Amit Nigdikar who made 58 off 38 balls the entire batting lineup crumbled under the Infosys bowling onslaught and finally folded up in 20 overs for a total of 155 runs.

In the other match played between Cybage and BMC Software,at the Sinhagad College Ground BMC won the toss and decided to bowl first. The BMC bowlers managed to restrict Cybage to a total of 144 for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Cybage enjoyed a fifth wicket partnership of 63 runs in 34 balls between Vishal Patil (52) and Chaitanya Hasabnis (25).

Coming in to bat second BMC looked in good touch and did not reduce the grip on the score card and Dheeraj Dhoot 33 (not out),Mayuresh Wagh 33 and Shirish Sonawane 23 saw the BMC team home comfortably.

HSBC in the third match played at the same venue outclassed Amdocs by 43 runs. HSBC managed to score a handsome 171 for 7. Amdocs replied with 129/8.
