In key reshuffle, Sachindra Pratap Singh becomes new CMD of PMPML

After serving as the PMPML CMD for less than a year, Om Prakash Bakoria — a 2006-batch IAS officer — has been assigned the new position of Commissioner of Social Welfare, Pune. He assumed the PMPML CMD's office in October 2022.

Major works such as the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission, the formulation of a new bus procurement policy, and efforts to solve the issues of women employees were done during Bokaria's tenure.

In a bureaucratic reshuffle, the Maharashtra government on Thursday appointed Sachindra Pratap Singh as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML).

After serving as the PMPML CMD for less than a year, Om Prakash Bakoria — a 2006-batch IAS officer — has been assigned the new position of Commissioner of Social Welfare, Pune. He assumed the PMPML CMD’s office in October 2022.

Singh — a 2007-batch IAS officer, who succeeded Bokaria — was earlier the animal husbandry commissioner, Pune.

Among the other transfers, Dr Prashant Narnaware — a 2009-batch IAS officer, formerly serving as the commissioner of social welfare in Pune — has been reassigned as the Commissioner of Women and Child, Pune. Vimala R — another 2009-batch IAS officer, who held the position of commissioner of women and child, Pune — has been assigned as the Chief Executive Officer of Maharashtra State, Khadi Village Industries Board in Mumbai.
