HSC results: 91.32% students pass HSC in Pune division
6.92% point gap between boys, girls

The Pune regional division recorded a 91.32% pass rate in the Higher Secondary Certificate results declared on Monday. This places Pune at the sixth position behind the Konkan, Kolhapur, Mumbai, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and Amravati divisions. Female students in the Pune division secured a passing percentage of 95.05% while male students recorded a passing percentage of 88.13%, showing a 6.92 percentage point gap between the two genders.
A total of 2,44,294 students had registered for the exam from the Pune division out of which 2,42,671 appeared for the exam and 2,21,631 secured passing marks. 19,243 students secured the first grade with distinction (above 75%), 63,802 students secured first grade (above 60%), 1,07,193 students secured the second grade (above 45%), and 31,393 students secured above 35% marks result.
In the Pune district specifically 1,27,387 students appeared for the exam in the Pune district out of them, 94.87% or 1,20,854 passed. In the Ahilyanagar district, 60,931 students appeared for the exam out of which 52,609 students passed. Finally in the Solapur district, 54,353 students appeared for the exam out of which 48,168 students passed.
In Pune division, 1,30,626 male students appeared for the examination out of which 1,15,127 (88.13%) secured passing marks. 1,12,045 female students appeared for the examination and 1,06,504 (95.05%) secured passing marks, displaying a 6.92 percentage point gap as compared to the male students.
Stream wise-results
In Pune division, the science stream recorded a 97.01% passing rate with 1,33,434 students securing passing marks out of the 1,37,538 students who appeared for the exam. This was followed by the Commerce stream which recorded a 92.32% passing rate with 49,379 students securing passing marks out of the 53,484 students who appeared for the exam. The Arts stream recorded the lowest pass percentage among the major streams at 74.24% with 33,817 students passing the exam out of the 45,550 who appeared. The vocational and ITI streams recorded a pass percentage of 84.15% and 72.03% respectively.
