Exhibition on Homeopathy
An event titled- Traveling Exhibition on Homeopathy by Robert Bosch Stiftung,Stuttgart has been organised by Max Mueller Bhavan in collaboration with Maharashtra Cultural Center and D Y Patil Homeopathic Medical College. The exhibition will be inaugurated by Professor Martin Dinges from Stuttgart. The exhibition traces the world- wide,intensive history of Homeopathy,tracking its rise in central and eastern Europe,to the recent boom in South America. Its Asian reach will be explained through the influences of the Indian and Japanese systems. On display will be illustrations explaining the characteristics,holistic approach,homeopathic medicine production and the ‘similarity rule’,a core Homeopathic formula. The exhibition will be on from June 27 to July 3 at Maharashtra Cultural Center,Sudarshan Hall,between 5 to 8 pm.
Dental camp at Deenanath Hospital
Taking a note of the huge response received in the previous year,Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital and Research Centre has organised a dental camp. Scheduled to take place on July 4 between 10 am to 1 pm,the camp will be conducted at the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital. A prior registration is necessary for the participation in this camp. A free dental checkup will be done during the camp.
A dose of Ayurveda
Maharashtra’s first Ayurvedic cluster is being constructed in the city. Approved by AYUSH (The Government of India,Ministry of Health and Family Welfare),the project aims at creating a market for Ayurvedic products in the state. For the first time,a common facility center is being constructed to improve the quality of products. The central government has given 60 per cent of the funds in support of the project. The Maharashtra Ayurved Center Pvt Ltd,to be located in Nigdi,has has been established in order to complete the project. With 40 per cent of it through,the project is expected to be completed by January next year. The motive behind the project is to create a social and economic impact by encouraging the plantation of Ayurvedic plants. They aim to help generate income by creating a scientific base for Ayurveda amongst the farmers in this part of the state.
