Hailing a legend

Tirangaa,an annual event organised by Manipal School,Amanora Park Town,will be held on August 20 and will commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore and India’s 64th year of independence. Starting at 10.30 am,there will be contests based on the works of Tagore,including a painting competition on nature inspired by Tagore’s stories and an essay writing contest. The cultural programmes include a dance ballet and a fusion dance set to the music of rabindrasangeet,a collage on the stalwart’s childhood,art,poetry and his other writings on India’s freedom movement.
