It was a great day of bonding between the children and their grandparents when The First Five Preschool celebrated its annual Grandparents Gala which was based on the theme of pirates. The grandparents walked in wearing pirate hats and eye patches. The teachers were in the shoes of Jack Sparrow and other famous pirates. Games like ‘walk the plank’ and ‘dig for gold’ were organised for the children. The grandparents had a chance to unlock the treasure chest and win a gold coin along with singing and dancing to old hit songs. The little ones also made pirate gift bags and head gears with their grandparents’ help. A photo shoot was also done on an old pirates ship to frame the occasion as a sweet memory.
Health week at SNBP school
A “health week” was conducted for the pre-primary (State Board) students at SNBP School and Junior College,Pimpri from July 18 to 25. All students of the pre-primary section participated in the check up. The checkup was conducted by Dr Ashish Bidikar,an obesity specialist and a parent at SNBP School. A thorough checkup of the students was conducted. Cleanliness and hygiene were the focus. “The children were taught the ill-effects of not washing hands and not cutting their nails on their health. Also the children with vitamin deficiencies were prescribed medicines, which the teachers later notified the parents. The teachers were very supportive of the whole idea,” said Beena Jose, headmistress of pre-primary section. It was a nice experience for all the children We also plan to conduct such health checkups in the future.
