Sharvari Luth will host an exhibition titled ‘Say it With Flowers’ at Darpan Art Gallery from October 4 to 9. The artist will display 25 contemporary oil paintings on canvas,depicting flowers using vibrant colors,various mediums and textures in abstract expressionism. Shavari Luth is interested in flowers because their colours are varied and they are used in all occasions. They can express different feelings : happiness,grief,love and individual blooms : love,decay,beauty and age.

The Lila Poonawalla Foundation organised a workshop on the “Awareness of Various Arts” at Hotel Deccan Rendezvous recently on September 16. Around 40 Lila Fellows (awardees of the Poonawalla Foundation scholarship) actively participated in the workshop. It was conducted by Maya Dongre,an artist involved in promoting many art forms originating in India as well as abroad,for over 35 years,assisted by Lila Fellow Aparna Bhandar. The workshop highlighted tribal arts like Warli,Madhubani,and Egyptian,as well as fabric painting.
