After having released many music and video albums like Zindagi,Fraction of infinity and Butterflies and produced the Marathi film Sage Soyare,city-based producer-director Manoj Palrechas latest film Locha will be his debut in the Hindi film industry.

After having released many music and video albums like Zindagi,Fraction of infinity and Butterflies and produced the Marathi film Sage Soyare,city-based producer-director Manoj Palrechas latest film Locha will be his debut in the Hindi film industry. The films shooting is currently on in the city and has actor Aseem Ali Khan (nephew of Sarod Artist Amjad Ali Khan) in the lead role with actress Sarah Khan along with Junior Mehmood,Dinesh Hingu,Sudha Chandran and others.

Produced and directed by Palrecha,a mechanical engineer by profession,the film by his Nidhi productions is,in his own words,an effort towards making the city a centre for the making of more and more Hindi films. The city has tremendous talent,beautiful locations and facilities and if films are made here it will boost the local artists. Locha is the story of a young college guy who is pulled towards the underworld. Along with being humorous,the film has romance and songs. What makes the film interesting it its light presentation, adds Palrecha.

Most parts of the film are being shot in Pune in addition to Mahabaleshwar. Palrecha is also working on Mission 7- 3D animation film,College Campus and Ababa. The film will also have actor Jackie Shroff and Rimi Sen. I am planning to hold its premiere in the city itself, says Palrecha.
