The Yerwada Metro station, which falls on the Vanaz-Ramwadi route, is an important station as the area is densely populated and there is a continuous flow of traffic. Metro officials said thousands of residents living in this area will benefit once the Yerwada Metro station is made operational.

The Yerwada Metro station is being planned on the Pune-Nagar national highway. The entrances and exits at the station are being planned in a way to suit the traffic situation.

Talking about the layout, officials said there will be lifts, escalators and pedestrian staircases on both sides of the Metro station. Buses of the PMPML and the Maharashtra State Bus Service will make a stopover on the other side of the Metro station towards the ward office so that vehicles on the highway are not obstructed and there is no traffic congestion.

Talking about the development of other Metro stations officials said that work on Ruby Hall to Ramwadi stretch is almost complete and that the route will be opened to the public once the remaining works are completed.
