Fatechand Ranka,the district governor of the Lions Clubs of the districts of Pune,Ahmednagar and Nashik,has been elected the Multiple Council Chairperson of Multiple 323 for 2010-2011.
The Lions Club have over 5,800 clubs in India which are divided into seven multiples of which Multiple 323 is the largest that spreads over five states namely Uttar Pradesh,Rajasthan,Madhya Pradesh,Gujarat and Maharashtra with a membership of over 40,000 members,said a press note. Ranka was elected at the 37th Annual Multiple Convention in Indore. His tenure,which commences from July 1,will end on June 30,2011.
All the Lions Clubs from these five states will be under the guidance and leadership of Ranka. In addition to Ranka Lion Umesh Gandhi,District Governor of Dist. 323-A-3 from Mumbai was elected as the Vice-Chairperson,Lion Bhavesh Patel,District Governor of District 323 B from Ahmedabad,the Secretary and Lion Rajendra Agarwal,District Governor of Dist. 323 E2 from Rajasthan the Treasurer of the Multiple Council.
All 16 Lions Districts in Multiple 323 will give more emphasis on prevention of blindness,IOL/Cataract Operations,Aids Awareness,Nations Safety,National Integration,Cancer Awareness and Detention,Diabetic Awareness and Women Empowerment,said the note.
