Fake ULC order: Dhole-Patil gets bail

Ramesh Balkrishna Dhole-Patil,brother of former mayor Ulhas Dhole-Patil,who was arrested in connection with a fake Urban land Ceiling order,was released on bail on Tuesday.

Ramesh Balkrishna Dhole-Patil,brother of former mayor Ulhas Dhole-Patil,who was arrested in connection with a fake Urban land Ceiling (ULC) order,was released on bail on Tuesday. The court granted him bail against a personal bond of Rs 50,000 with one or two solvent sureties on three conditions — not to leave Pune without the court’s permission,to co-operate with police investigations,to attend the police station and meet the investigation officer every Wednesday and not to tamper with evidence.

Dhole-Patil was produced before the court after his one-day police custody expired on Tuesday. According to CID remand application,the bogus ULC order no 78 RD was prepared by agent Babloo Ibrahim Sayyed alias Mohammad Sayyed who was approached by architect Sharad Date. Sayyed was paid Rs 90,000 for the work.

The case was transferred to CID on the directions of the Bombay High Court. The case was registered with Swargate police station on January 21 this year under sections for an offence of criminal conspiracy,cheating,forging of documents and destroying evidence of the IPC. The complaint in this regard was filed by local tehsildar Vivek Pralhad Salunke,who works at the Pune urban agglomeration office.
