E-way work to reduce time from Pune to Aurangabad to 2 hrs: Gadkari
Nitin Gadkari also said the distance between Pune and Aurangabad will only be two hours.

Speaking at the birth anniversary of Visvesvaraya at COEP University of Technology, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India Nitin Gadkari said work on the 14-lane Mumbai-Bangalore highway will start in the next six months and the expressway will be directly accessible after one passes through Atal Setu in Mumbai. He said this highway will be connected to the Ring Road and will make the journey between Mumbai and Bangalore faster.
He also said the distance between Pune and Aurangabad will only be two hours.
During his address at the Engineers’ Day programme organised by the university’s alumni association, Gadkari said, “Even today around 65% of citizens live in rural areas and the agricultural economy is their main source of livelihood.” He added that the dream of a self-sufficient India will not be fulfilled without adding to the research and technology of the agricultural economy.
Gadkari said, “Farmers are not only producers of food grains but have also entered the role of energy providers. There are endless opportunities in the agriculture sector as well and the industry has the potential to meet our current and future fuel needs. If technology is developed keeping the needs of rural areas at the centre, crowds migrating from rural areas will choose to stay in the village and many employment opportunities will be available to them at the local level.”
