Datar wins Rapid chess championship

With a score of 5.0 and 19.5 Buchals Soham Datar edged out his closest competitor Sohan Barkale to win the 24 th edition of the every Sunday Rapid Chess Championship organised by the Sports Star Club in Bibwewadi and the Pune District Chess Association.

With a score of 5.0 and 19.5 Buchals Soham Datar edged out his closest competitor Sohan Barkale to win the 24 th edition of the every Sunday Rapid Chess Championship organised by the Sports Star Club in Bibwewadi and the Pune District Chess Association (PDCA).

A total of 64 players participated in the event which saw 15 rated players take part. Held at the Ramabai Hall at the SP College Narendra Kulkarni was the chief Arbitrator for the event.

Barkale came second with a tally of 4.5 points and 18.5 Buchals while Arun Pariya with 4.5 points and 18.5 Buchals came in third.
