Pune cops file chargesheet in 48 hours against man held for molesting woman
Police have identified the accused as Ashwin Bhimram Kamble (21), resident of Hadapsar.

Within 48 hours, the Pune city police not only arrested a man for allegedly stalking and molesting a woman, but also filed a chargesheet against him in a court.
Police have identified the accused as Ashwin Bhimram Kamble (21), resident of Hadapsar. A press release issued on Friday stated that the victim woman was speaking on the phone on DP Road near Orion Park in Malwadi area of Hadapsar on May 14, when the accused Kamble came to the spot on a two wheeler with his friend.
Kamble allegedly asked the woman to marry him, snatched her cell phone and also threatened her father. The victim then lodged a first information report (FIR) against him at the Hadapsar police station on Thursday.
Police booked Kamble under sections 74, 78(1), 115(2), 352, 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita. A police team led by assistant police inspector Parvez Shikalgar arrested Kamble.
The press release stated that his statement was recorded before a magistrate court as per the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) section 183. “Statements of eight witnesses were recorded by the police. Solid evidence was collected and a chargesheet was filed against him before the court within 48 hours,” the press release stated.
Senior police inspector Sanjay Mogle said, “Probe revealed that the accused works a part-time job. We suspect he committed the crime due to one-sided infatuation with the victim.”
