Annual Day at Pawar Public School
Pawar Public School celebrated its annual day on August 15. The chief guest,Kajari Mitra,the manager,British Council Library,Pune and honoured guest S.D.Deshpande,former Principal of Sanjeewan Vidyalaya,Panchgani along with Principal Anjali Gurjar and CAO S Sugwekar lauded the students for their performances. The programme started with Ganpati Vandana followed by invocation of the blessings of Goddess Durga,to the celebration of the completion of 50 glorious years of Maharashtra.The concert left many hues of saffron,green and white into the hearts and minds of the audience.

Marathon For Swine-Flu Awareness
Jeevani 2010,a marathon for Swine flu awareness,was organized by IMED on the August 19,2010. The marathon was introduced for the first time at IMED,and the students were encouraged and supported by the Directors Dr Nitin Nayak and Dr Mahesh Shitole Director(UG) and guided by Dr Kirti Gupta,coordinator for the event. The marathon was flaggedoff by former Olympian Balkrishna Akotkar and Vasant Gokhale,President of Pune Athletics Association. The message of swine flu awareness was spread through banners and leaflets distribution by the volunteers,along with the free vaccination for participants.

Entrepreneurship Workshop
Tie Pune is organising an entrepreneurship workshop on August 28 and 29.The workshop will include conceptualizing a product,understanding go-to-market strategies,organizing finance and attitude and leadership skills. It aims at imparting the tools to launch a business or expand it. The speakers for the workshop will be Sunder Rajan,MD Altius Technologies,Harshu Ghate,KPIT Cummins Group and Kiran Deshpande,CEO,Airtight Networks.

Blood donation camp
Students of the International School of Business & Media,(ISB&M),Pune,organized a blood donation camp recently.The camp was organized by the professional development cell of ISB&M-nande,in association with the Lions Club,Vimaan Nagar. The blood collected from the various donors was later donated to the Acharya Anandrishiji Pune Blood Bank.
