Scholarship announced
Uttam Singh Wadhawa Memorial Trust is announcing Rs10,000 scholarship for students seeking admission or pursuing there post graduation in engineering,pharmacy and any other courses in Pune.This scholarship will be given to seven students only. Students with a brilliant academic background and who are financially disadvantaged will be chosen for this scholarship. Eligible candidates can apply by writing to the managing trustee on sswadhwa@yahoo.co.uk on or before August 28.

International competition for students
Present Around The World (PATW) competition is a unique event open to students,apprentices and young professionals. Sponsored by the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) ,PATW judges the contestants on their presentation skills and technical content; thereby offering an opportunity to win £1,000. Organised for students who have graduated within the last seven years,the event is arranged in four levels: local,national,Asia Pacific and the Final in UK. This year’s PATW – Asia Pacific competition,which will be held in Pune,will see national winners from India,Pakistan,China,Japan,Sri Lanka,Brunei,Hong Kong,Malaysia competing amongst themselves to represent the Asia Pacific Region in the finals. The event will be held on July 30.

RIT offers courses abroad
Rajarambapu Institute of Technology (RIT),has recently tied up with Lawrence Technological University (LTU),UMASS,PURDUE and is offering PG programmes in courses like automotive engineering and construction engineering management. This will facilitate students to enrol in these American Universities. The foundation course will be conducted in India itself. The university is also offering a waiver for GRE,if admissions are done through RIT along with TOEFL.These universities are offering different courses in undergraduate,masters and doctoral programmes in engineering,science,mathematics,architecture,graphic design and business and so on.
