Class X boy collapses after games period in school,dies

Right after the games period,Class-X student Dishant Zarkar of Warjes Millennium School,who was returning to the classroom along with his mates on Wednesday,collapsed.

Right after the games period,Class-X student Dishant Zarkar of Warjes Millennium School,who was returning to the classroom along with his mates on Wednesday,collapsed. When school authorities rushed him to hospital,he was reported dead on arrival.

The school administration recalls him as a bright student,who was good in both academics and sports. He was hardly ever absent. He was an all-rounder and has been with us since junior KG, said Millennium School Director Arpita Karkare.

When the boys were returning to their classroom after a game of basketball,Dishant just collapsed. The other students and the sports teacher who tried to revive him,said he was unconscious,his pupils were dilated and he did not seem to breathe. We immediately knew something was wrong. We rushed him to Saswat hospital,where Dishant was declared dead on arrival. According to the preliminary report,he had a massive heart attack and died immediately, Karkare said. The school will remain closed tomorrow as a mark of respect to Dishant, she added.

Warje police have registered an accidental death case. Probe is on.
