Widening at least two roads in the panel -the ITI road that connects Aundh and Baner and Chaitraban Society road should be taken up immediately. Also,opening of more connecting roads as per development plan is necessary for regulating traffic in this area. Absence of a large garden is starkly felt here which reflects poor urban planning. Also,corporators needs to ensure speedy opening of the eight-year-long project -Aundh Institute of Medical Sciences -a multi speciality hospital (Aundh Kuti Rugnalaya). The civic body needs to levy heavier fined against all kinds of encroachments that will act as deterrent. Also,a system needs to be in place to check stray dog menace and collection and disposal of garden cuttings.

The traffic is a big issue in the area as the narrow road especially at Dhayari Phata leads to traffic jam. The civic body has also failed to check the encroachment on the roads that further add to the congestion. The vegetable vendors occupy most of the road and vehicles are also parked on the main road. The internal roads are of poor quality and should be made of concrete. The lack of storm water drains lead to flooding during monsoon.

The main issues of the area is that there is tremendous traffic congestion. Citizens can hardly cross the roads. The traffic has to be streamlined. The other key issue is of non-clearance of garbage in the area and potholed roads. Footpaths encroached by hawkers is another issue which is of concern. Before the elections it should be mandatory that the voters list is cleared so that we know that we belong to the concerned panel.

The corporators are doing a good job. However,the clearance of garbage and utilisation of the DAD garden to good use needs to be addressed. Roads and infrastructure seem to be in place in the area. However pig and stray dog menace is another concern which needs to be addressed.
