Mithai Association president dead
Partner of Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale and president of Mithai Association,Narsimha alias Rajabhau Bhaskar Chitale (78),died on Wednesday after a prolonged illness. Chitale had been suffering from a breathing disorder for the last two years. He was admitted to a private hospital in the city a week ago. He was cremated at Vaikunth crematorium. He is survived by a son and three daughters. He was not only a successful businessman but also a well known social worker.
Durga Devi tekdi declared no-plastic zone
The Durga Devi tekdi in Nigdi has been declared a no plastic zone. The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation will charge defaulters Rs 5000 for the first offences,Rs 10,000for the second offence. The third offence will invite a fine of Rs 25,000 and three-month imprisonment.
