Builder’s helicopter makes emergency landing in Lonavala on Independence Day

Pune builder Avinash Bhosale’s helicopter made an emergency landing at Saltar in Mulshi taluka due to bad weather on Independence day with two pilots and four passengers in it. No injuries were reported and the helicopter took off again 15 minutes later.
According to information provided by Police Inspector Santosh Girigosavi of Lonavala Rural Police Station the helicopter, which was flying from Pune to Mumbai, was grounded at Saltar in Mulshi taluka at 3:30 pm on August 15 due to severe weather. The helicopter landed on a cement road near the village. Fifteen minutes later, it took off again for Mumbai with all six passengers.

Bhosale is the chairman and founder of ABIL Group and is currently out on bail.
The ghat areas of Pune have seen heavy rainfall in the previous few days. Pune city received heavy rain on Tuesday. Nanded district was drenched with over 200 mm of rain on Monday. Multiple people were left stranded or missing due to waterlogging. A team of the National Disaster Response Force, an Army Team, and a police team were coordinating rescue efforts, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday.
