Krida Probodini defeated Super XI 2-1 in the senior-division match of the Barclays Hockey League at the Ammunition Factory ground on Saturday.
The Super XI challenged their opponents in each facet of the game,but ran out of patience. They paid heavily for this.
Three cards and one yellow were given to the side from Chikhalwadi and they had to play with nine players. Krida Probodini coach Ajit Lakra had no option but to play,as most of their players were injured while some were busy attending exams (XI).
The Krida probodhini team were up against it as they played with only ten men for the entire match. However,their coach spurred them on to victory.
In the first instance his hit from the right corner of the field saw Sangram Chogule score. Later,Ajit was back in the action,this time it was Pramod Shingunde,whose reverse hit crashed into the net. Santosh Musale scored the lone goal for Super XI.
