Baby kidnapped from rly platform

Four unidentified persons allegedly kidnapped a one-year-old baby girl from the Pune railway station on April 29. The girl’s mother Naseema Mehboob Shaikh (22),a resident of Miraj in Sangli,lodged a complaint with the Pune railway police station. The railway police have got the images of the kidnappers from the CCTV cameras installed at the station.

Police said that Naseema along with other women,who sell toys on road,had gone to Mumbai on April 28 for buying fresh stock. They returned around 10 pm and were sleeping on platform number 2. But Naseema’s daughter Alin who was sleeping beside her was missing the next morning.

She then lodged a complaint of kidnap with the railway police. During investigations,the railway police obtained CCTV footage of the spot from railway authorities. It shows four persons picking up the girl around 3 am. A search has been launched,police said.
