Auto driver finds bag containing Rs 14,000,hands it over to cops

An autorickshaw driver found a bag containing Rs 14,000 left by a passenger in his vehicle and handed it over to the police on Sunday.

An autorickshaw driver found a bag containing Rs 14,000 left by a passenger in his vehicle and handed it over to the police on Sunday. The driver,Rajendra Balkrishna Supekar (50),a resident of Alandi,was appreciated by the police for his honesty.

A passenger boarded Supekar’s auto from Narayan Peth to Mahesh Society in Bibvewadi from where he took another passenger to Raviwar Peth area on Sunday evening. Later,while on his way to Kothrud,he noticed a bag left by a passenger in his autorickshaw.

He then visited Ganesh Peth police chowky under the jurisdiction of Faraskhana police station and handed over the bag to police. Police said they have launched a search for the passenger who left the bag in the autorickshaw.
