The Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) Academy along with a team from the voluntary organisation Bhavna had arranged a fun weekend for children from non-governmental organisations Manavya at Bhugaon,Eklavya in Bushwar peth,Hermann Gmenier Social Centre near Shivajinagar railway station and Apla Ghar in Warje.
A special show of Marathi movie Jhing Chick Jhing was organised for the children at City Pride Kothrud along with a quiz and drawing competition at these places and new notebooks were distributed to the children for the new academic year.
The project is focussed on providing a unique kind of exposure to orphaned and abandoned children. The event organised by ARAI Bhavna Project involved more than 250 children from five orphanages in Pune.
The group had students right from kindergarten to Std XII.
Activties for these children are currently planned and carried out by the students of ARAI Academy including Aditya Palsule,Nachiket Kulkarni,Tejas Bhabale and others,under the guidance of KC Vora,Head of ARAI Academy as a part of corporate social responsibility initiative.
