Applications invited for Prime Minister’s scholarship

The degree courses must be recognised by the regulatory bodies such as Medical Council of India,(AICTE),(UGC)

Applications have been invited for the Prime Minister’s scholarship from the dependent wards and widows of ex- service and ex-Indian coast guard personnel pursuing professional degree courses. The scholarship will be applicable only to those candidates who have joined courses in the academic year 2013-14. The degree courses must be recognised by the regulatory bodies such as Medical Council of India,All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE),and University Grants Commission (UGC) among other government constituted bodies,a release said. The amount of scholarship is Rs 2,000 a month for boys and Rs 2,250 for girls,to be paid annually. Application forms and information brochures can be downloaded from http://www.desw.gov.in. Last date for receipt of application at respective Rajya Sainik Board/coast guard headquarter is November 30,the release said.
