VETERAN ACTOR Anupam Kher, who recently visited the National Defence Academy at Khadakwasla in Pune for a motivational lecture to the cadets, described the visit as a ‘life changing experience’.
Kher, who visited the premier tri-services academy last week, took to X on Friday and posted a video about the visit. In the note accompanying the video, he said, “It was my honour and my privilege to be invited by the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, Pune to deliver a motivational lecture to more than 2500 cadets. I felt so proud to see the place. Undoubtedly one of the finest in the world. The training, the facilities, the coaching, the discipline and the dedication is so exemplary and outstanding! I stayed there for a day and learnt so many things about life and living! Thank you Vice Admiral Ajay Kochhar, Maj Gen SanjeevDogra, all the officers, staff and the cadets for the love, hospitality and appreciation! Jai Hind!”

The video also shows Kher visiting the iconic cadets mess, various facilities and the academy campus including the Equestrian Training Team, Air Force Training Team and the Watermanship Training Centre among other facilities.
At the Equestrian Training Team, Kher, who took a ride on a charger, describes the experience as, “Good, exciting, romanchak (thrilling) and fearful.” At the Air Force Training Team, Kher gives the viewers a brief introduction to the Super Dimona, which are used to train the cadets of the Air Force stream.
In the video the veteran actor says, “It was my privilege that I was invited here to deliver a motivational lecture….This was a life changing experience for me. I want to not just admire but also salute the way these cadets train with grit and determination and go on to become the brave hearts for the country. I received a lot of love here.”
Later this month, the NDA is scheduled to host the Passing Out Parade of its 146th course on May 24. The Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pande will be Reviewing Officer for the prestigious event.
