The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught a talathi red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 on Tuesday evening.
According to the police,one Govind Mistry bought five acres of land at sector number 38 at Chikali recently. To get the plot registered and obtain a 7/11-extract copy,Mistry,a resident of Sant Tukaram Nagar in Pimpri,approached Nandkumar Dabadhe,the local talathi. He demanded Rs 10,000 bribe for the same. Mistry approached the ACB via advocate Rakesh Takole on Tuesday morning. A team led by assistant commissioner Sanjay Naik Patil laid a trap and arrested Dabadhe.
