A Whiff of Hellwind

What began as a concept by music directors Suraj and Dhiraj and music programmer Vishal Kavishwar has now found its footing as a full-fledged song. Majha Maharashtra,sung by Sukhwinder Singh,will be released today on the occasion of Maharashtra Day. The duo say they wanted to show their love for the people of the state through the song. The lyrics are penned by Guru Thakur. “Being new in the industry,it was very challenging to reach out to him as he was very busy. However,we did manage to get in touch and he obliged us by writing wonderful lyrics,” says Suraj. About roping in Sukhwinder Singh,Kavishwar says that he was helped by Vijay Dayal. “The video shoot of the song is on but the audio will be released at all radio stations across the state on May 1,” says Dhiraj.

Printer on Stage

Olive Bistro will host “Acoustic Wednesdays with Aazin Printer” tonight at 8pm. Printer is a singer-songwriter and music composer,who was the lead vocalist and frontman of Mumbai-based indie jam band Something Relevant for eight years. Under the stage name Mr Printer,he has embarked on his solo career with a debut album The Original Mr Printer,which is set to release this year. Printer,whose music explores modern rock with old school blues,mo-town and pop influences,has performed at Edinburgh Fringe festival in Scotland,Java Jazz festival in Indonesia and Ronnie Scott’s Bar in London among others.
