After two days of high drama over de-recogntion by the state board, things returned to normal at SP College. On Saturday, marksheets of supplementary examination were distributed to students as the state board retained college recogntion.
Junior college vice-principal Surekha Dange said the process of online filling up of examination form of students for forthcoming board examination would be accomplished before stipulated deadline of December 6.
The college authorities on Saturday met parents of HSC students and apprised them about the latest developments. We told parents that court had delivered verdict in favour of college and the fate of 1,440 students is safe. The Pune division of the board has restored our index number, and our HSC students will be able to give examination from SP College, she said.
Chitralekha Khanna, one of the affected parents whose daugther studies HSC in the college, said the last few days resulted in unnecessary tension for students and parents. With exams some weeks away, its preparation time for students. Though it was sure that some solution would be worked out,we were also worried whether issue gets stretched further, she said. The Pune division of the board Wednesday had issued orders,de-recognising the college over non compliance of its orders. The SP College then dragged the board to Bombay High Court, which quashed action taken by the board authorities.
While fling an FIR in case of fake marksheet during February-March 2013 examination proved bone of contention between college and the board, the same would be registered with the police before December 9 as per court orders,Dange said.
