4 injured after Gulmohar tree falls on autorickshaw in Pune’s Kothrud

A Gulmohar tree with a huge trunk fell over a passing autorickshaw near the Dashbhuja Ganapati temple in Kothrud, leaving four persons including the auto-rickshaw driver and passengers injured today.

A team from the Pune Fire Brigade rushed to the spot and rescued the four persons after receiving information about the incident.

Fire officer Gajanan Pathrudkar said, “The big Gulmohar collapsed on an auto-rickshaw on the one-way road near the Dashbhuja Ganapati temple around 9.15 am.” He said that the auto-rickshaw driver and three more persons were trapped inside the vehicle. Eventually, they were rescued by the fire brigade team.

“All four injured persons were taken to the Sassoon hospital for treatment,” added Pathrudkar.
