Despite the University Grants Commission (UGC) extending the form submission dates by two days, candidates applying for National Eligibility Test (NET) are still facing problems. Before the extension,Monday was the last day for registration.
The SET building at the University of Pune (UoP) co-ordinates the exam every year. Many candidates have been coming to the center with hardcopy of the form. However, aspirants from Nagar and Nashik have not yet been able to do that.
Rahul Jagtap, from Nagar, said,I have been preparing for the exam for the past two years. However, this problem has left me very anxious and I do not want to miss the opportunity because of a technical glitch.
Shreya Bafna,an aspirant from Nashik, said,To register for the test,we need to log on to the NET website and enter our email addresses. After that,a registration number is sent on our email ID. Due to the technical snag, neither is our names getting accepted nor are we receiving emails confirming our registration details. I hope UGC fixes the problem soon and further extends the dates. It is not possible for me to go to Pune and submit the hardcopy.
