Outfit announces Rs 10 lakh reward to ‘chop off’ RJD MLA’s tongue

Singh made the comments at a function in Aurangabad and later to reporters a week ago. He refused to withdraw his statements.

After an organisation Wednesday put up a poster announcing Rs 10 lakh reward to anyone who “chops off tongue” of RJD Dehri MLA Fateh Bahadur Singh, BJP sharpened its attack on RJD, saying that the INDIA bloc “should be ready for backlash”.

A week ago, Singh had sparked controversy after remarks on Goddess Saraswati. Hindu Shiv Bhavani Sena’s posters came up at Bir Chand Patel Path, announcing the reward for “chopping off the tongue” of the RJD MLA.

BJP spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said, “We sense somehow the INDI alliance had been formed to oppose Sanatan. Fateh Bahadur Singh’s remarks on Hindu deities and religious texts look just part of this design… RJD and other Opposition parties should be ready for backlash for hurting popular Hindu sentiments.”

JD(U) chief spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said: “We strongly condemn the RJD MLA’s remarks on Goddess Saraswati.” RJD spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari said: “Our party respects all religions and completely dissociates itself from Singh’s remarks.”
