Woman found dead in drain

The body of a woman was found in a drain in Santacruz on Saturday morning and the police are trying to identify her. The body was found without any clothes and the woman appeared to be 35 years old,Santacruz police said. Police retrieved the body after a passer-by informed them about the body.

There were no external injuries on the body. The police have sent the body to Cooper Hospital for post-mortem to find the cause of death. They are also trying to verify whether she was raped.

“We are trying to find out the identity. We have sent the photograph across stations in the city to find if it matches with any missing complaint filed,” said an officer from the Santacruz police station.

This comes a day after the body of a woman,and her severed head were found in Malwani. Police said the victim found on Friday appeared to be between 30 and 35 years of age.
