Kibbeh
(Pronounced as Kibbe)
Kibbeh,is a spicy,chopped meat dish from the Levant. This is most popularly a torpedo-shaped bulgur shell filled with chopped meat and spices. This is then fried. Bulgur is a cereal made from mixed wheats,more importantly Durham wheat. While Kibbeh can be in any shape,its always
either minced lamb or beef. It is normally eaten as a starter.
Kibbeh is prevalant all over the Middle East,in countries such as Iraq,Iran and Armenia. It is,astonishingly,also made in Columbia and the Dominican Republic,where it is called Quipe. The most popular variation of Kibbeh is a baked-minced meat-pie.
