The Pune police have arrested three persons in connection with the recent murder of Jalinder Suresh Temgire,a Nationalist Congress Party worker and deputy sarpanch of Jambhe village in Mulshi Tehsil. Temgire had come to Kanpile vasti in his car when the assailants opened fire on him and attacked him with sharp weapons,killing him on the spot.
Police said the suspects Sachin Sudam Kudale of Punavale Malwadi,Swapnil Sudam Gaikwad of Jambhe village and Govind Namdevrao Deshmukh of Punavale Malwadi in Mulshi allegedly murdered Temgire over a four-year-old dispute he had with one of the suspects.
Temgires uncle Deepak Sitaram Temgire (52) lodged the complaint at Hinjewadi police station. Preliminary investigation revealed that Temgire and Kudale had a running feud for the past four years. Temgire was also in the bad books of Kudales friends Gaikwad and Deshmukh. Temgire had allegedly abused Gaikwads sister and mother in the past.
Acting on a tip-off,a trap was laid at Hotel Gokul on the Mumbai-Bangalore highway in Punavale around 9 pm on Tuesday.
