1. Get, set, and laugh with this international clown festival

Ready for some laughs? In its ninth edition, the International Clown Festival has returned with a talented lineup of award-winning professional clowns from the USA, Canada, Singapore, Japan, Germany, Italy and India. Curated and produced by Martin Flubber D’Souza, an award-winning international clown and former World Clown Association vice president, the theatre show is for people of all age groups, and promises 100 minutes of non-stop laughter, comedy, juggling, and music.

2. This pop-up in Shivaji Park offers local and handcrafted goods

If you are in the mood to shop for upcoming festivities, a pop-up promoting products from homegrown communities is coming up at Shivaji Park. Meticulously curated by Srila Chatterjee of Baro Market, this market has everything from apparel, accessories, and assorted dolls to decor and art. All products at this pop-up are sourced from homegrown brands and grassroots craftsmen.

3. Candlelight brings its concert to Mumbai

After Van Gogh 360°, Festival House brings another wildly popular social experience, candlelight concerts to India. Concerts by candlelight, as a concept, invites a wider audience, who might never have considered attending a classical music concert, to take an interest in the most emblematic works of renowned pop artists and listen to their greatest hits in a different way. In Mumbai, Candlelight India concerts will pay tribute to iconic artists like Taylor Swift and Coldplay, among other artistes.

4. A performance where Colaba is more than the venue

Conceived, written and directed by theatre personality Vikram Phukan, Postcards from Colaba is a promenade performance that is staged over a 1-kilometre stretch in Colaba. Weaving an intimate tapestry of Colaba’s alternative history, which is made up of chance encounters and unwritten testimonies from film director Riyad Vinci Wadia’s misadventures at a city library, to Sultan Padamsee’s theatrical exploits, this walk is punctuated with theatrical pieces that are all performed in verses.

5. A fusion of art and science

Tao Art Gallery in collaboration with Galerie Geek Art is showcasing National Award-winning creator, artist, designer and entrepreneur Jayesh Sachdev’s ‘Utopian Dystopia’. The show heralded as Jayesh’s triumphant return to the art world presents his artistic prowess and underscores his ability to fluidly maintain multiple roles while pushing the boundaries of contemporary art.
