One amongst a growing number of curated music nights across the country,The Scene series,held its first gig at Blue Frog,Lower Parel,in April. Put together by NH7 and Blue Frog,the series has seen three gigs so far and will,later this month,not only have a fourth in Mumbai,but also travel to Pune for The Scenes first gig there.
The Mumbai edition will take place on August 21,followed by Pune two days later. The acts performing at the former are Kolkata alt-rock band Ganesh Talkies and two others from the city garage rock act Bone Broke and rock/ experimental band Far Travel Music. The first Pune edition also features Ganesh Talkies,and alongside them,Mumbai rock/ pop-rock act Spud In The Box and Punes What Plough?,and will be held at Arc Asia.
Past editions of The Scene have featured acts from around the country,including Chennai alt-rock act,Skrat and Mumbai punk band,The Lightyears Explode at the first,Delhi alt-rock band The Circus at the second and Bangalores Live Banned at the third.
