Talks between medical interns,who are on strike demanding a hike in stipend,with Joint Director of DMER Pravin Shingare and Medical Education Secretary Milind Mhaisker failed on Friday. “They said they will call a meeting in two weeks to discuss all issues including the hike. We did not find it fruitful. We’ll continue the agitation till they give us more than just assurances,” said Dr Mayur Ambekar of Association of State Medical Interns. On Friday,around 300 interns sat outside Mantralaya in protest.
