Alibaug, a coastal town in Maharashtra, is slowly turning to be a preferred destination for Mumbai-based actors

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan has purchased 1.5 acres of farmland in Alibaug, a coastal town in Maharashtra that is slowly turning to be a preferred destination for Mumbai-based actors.
SRK also owns a bungalow in Alibaug where the actor celebrated his private functions, including his 52nd birthday party.
Suhana, 23, who is set to make her debut in film ‘Archies’, directed by Zoya Akhtar for Netflix, bought the property in Thal village for Rs 12.91 crore paying a stamp duty of over Rs 77. 46 lakh. As per the records, the deal took place on June 1.
According to the documents accessed via Indextap.com , Suhana who has been noted as an ‘agriculturist’ purchased the farmland with three houses from Anjali Khote and others. It was the ancestral property of the Khote family. It is pertinent to note that to buy a farmland the buyer should be into farming.
Suhana Khan, who studied at New York University, has recently signed a contract with a cosmetic brand.
Alibaug, located in the Raigad district, is well connected with the RoRo boat service which allows cars and vehicles onboard. Besides, there are other speedboat facilities from Gateway of India.
Apart from water transport, people can also travel through Mumbai Trans Harbour Sealink (MTHL) which will provide 15 minutes drive from South Mumbai up to Chirle in Raigad, Navi Mumbai.
Experts believe that with connectivity in place, several buyers are keen to buy property outside Mumbai. The demand has pushed up the market value of properties in Alibaug.
