Modernisation of police is under way and we will take out a parade to show this to people. said Chavan, reiterating the government’s commitment to fight terror. “We are here to fight terror. Security is our top priority. I don’t say everything is complete. This exercise will continue. There is a political will to fight back terror,” said Chavan.

Patil said,“We have taken measures to ensure that a similar attack does not happen again and if it does, then our police are prepared to face it.”

The government on Monday published a booklet detailing the actions taken by the state government following the 26/11 attacks. Speaking at its launch,Deputy CM Chhagan Bhujbal said that courage alone will not help the police but weapons are also needed. “We have to be prepared.
