And finally,the shoemakers to designers such as Wendell Rodricks,Monisha Jaising,Surily Goel and Nandita Mahtani have a space to call home. Stoffa shoes’ Hersh and Malini Kotecha and Priyanka Tejwani opened their first standalone store at the chicest spot in Colaba—Arthur Bunder Road—the new style and cultural hub of the city.

Event organiser Sharmilla Khanna hosted the launch and brought in some lovely ladies who’d love to walk around in Stoffa’s embellished high heels,even at home. Seema Khan,Arti Surendrenath,Madhoo Shah,Bijal Meswani,Suchitra Pillai,Kehkashan Patel and Laila Lamba were some.
