Security at the US Consulate in Mumbai has been beefed up,said senior police officers,following the terror alert in the US last week.

Security at the US Consulate in Mumbai has been beefed up,said senior police officers,following the terror alert in the US last week. Mumbai Police said more personnel have been deployed outside the consulate in South Mumbai.

“We have increased security at the American Consulate. This move is just a precautionary measure,” said a senior police officer,adding that the additional security is also keeping in view a 9/11 memorial function to be held at the consulate later this week.
