The 63-year-old leader, who is one of Uddhav Thackeray’s closest aides, recently experienced discomfort following overstress despite doctors advising him to rest following an angiography. He serves as the chief spokesperson of the Shiv Sena (UBT) and also heads the party’s parliamentary group in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

Following his message, several Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders and workers expressed concern and wished him a speedy recovery. Many said Raut’s voice is central to the party’s daily political communication and that his absence will be strongly felt.

Known for his outspoken views and sharp political commentary, Raut is regarded as the Sena’s prominent face in Delhi.

Raut’s daily morning press conferences in Mumbai and even in Delhi often set the political tone for the day and attract wide coverage in both state and national media. His temporary absence has raised questions about who will take charge of the party’s communication strategy in the coming weeks.
