Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut (File Photo)Amid the deadlock between the Prakash Ambedkar-led VBA and MVA over seat-sharing for the Lok Sabha polls, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut said on Friday the MVA has offered four seats to Ambedkar, who now has to take a decision.
“We have offered four seats to VBA after considering the list of 27 winnable seats that it had given. Now it is up to Ambedkar to decide whether the seat-sharing is acceptable or not,” Raut said, before going to attend the MVA’s seat-sharing meeting in Mumbai. Ambedkar said he was not invited for the meeting.
Raut indicated it is Ambedkar who is creating deadlock in finalising the seat-sharing formula and VBA’s inclusion in MVA. Ambedkar, however, launched an attack on Raut saying the latter is lying and that there is a stalemate in MVA over at least 15 seats. There is no consensus on at least 10 seats between Congress and Sena UBT, he said.
