Samay Raina appears before cyber police in ‘India’s Got Latent’ obscenity case
Prior to Samay Raina, others including podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia recorded their statements with the cyber police.

Stand-up comic Samay Raina appeared before the Maharashtra Cyber police on Monday and recorded his statement. He had been summoned by the Cyber police in connection with the controversy over his comedy show, ‘India’s Got Latent’.
Prior to him, others including podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia recorded their statements with the cyber police.
An official said that they had issued multiple summons to Raina, however he was outside the country because of which he did not appear before the police. “He appeared before us and recorded his statement,” an official said.
The cyber police had earlier issued summons to 42 persons comprising all those who had appeared on various episodes of the YouTube show. Those who appeared included Allahbadia and Ashish Chanchlani among others.
The cyber police had registered an FIR in the matter following alleged obscene content mentioned on the show. Apart from cyber police, Assam police too had registered an FIR in the matter.
