Resolution passed for Mahayuti Alliance to contest all 48 LS seats: Samant

These awards will be announced on the Shiv Sena's anniversary and will be distributed by Shinde.

The Chief Minister Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena on Friday passed six resolutions during its state wide executive meeting held in Kolhapur. The two-day statewide convention of the Shinde Sena was inaugurated in Kolhapur by the Maharashtra Chief Minister.

“Six resolutions were passed in the first session of this grand convention. The first resolution was passed congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modiji for the construction of Prabhu Shri Ram Temple. The second resolution was passed congratulating PM Modi in light of his work done for the progress of the country. The third resolution has been passed congratulating Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah for taking a decision to abrogate Article 370 and the union government’s decision to declare Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh as Union Territory. A resolution has also been passed hailing the decision by PM Modi to set up a ministry for a co-operative, a decision that would boost the sector in Maharashtra. The fourth and most important resolution was passed hailing CM Shinde for introducing schemes that have led to the welfare of the people of Maharashtra,” Sena leader and state Industries Minister Uday Samant said after the executive meeting.

He added that the fifth resolution was a political resolution to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections with the Mahayuti Alliance. “We will fight under the leadership of Eknath Shinde. A resolution has also been passed to make this grand Mahayuti alliance of Shiv Sena, BJP, NCP and allied parties win 48 seats. Sixth special resolution was passed to constitute six awards which would be called Shiv Sanman Awards from next year in the name of people who worked for the development of Shiv Sena along with venerable Balasaheb.”

A resolution was also passed to constitute six awards, the Shiv Sanman Awards, in various categories in honour of six veteran leaders who were founding members of Shiv Sena and close to Bal Thackeray.

Political observers believed that the awards in the name of veteran Sena leaders seemed to be an attempt by the Shinde Sena to reach out to Sena old timers and cadres of the party.

Whille the Excellent Labor Award will be given in the name of Shiv Sena leader Datta Salvi, the Innovative Entrepreneur Award will be given in the name of party leader Sudhir Joshiji. The best journalist award will be given in the name of Shiv Sena leader Pramod Navalkar while the Adarsh Shiv Sainik Award will be given in the name of party leader Dutta Nalawade. An award will be given in the name of Dada Kondke for excellence in art. An award in the field of education will be given in the name of Shiv Sena leader Vamanrao Mahadik and the Outstanding Social Worker Award will be presented in the name of party leader Sharad Bhau Acharya, Samant announced.

These awards will be announced on the Shiv Sena’s anniversary and will be distributed by Shinde. “We have taken oath to make Narendra Modiji the Prime Minister and under the leadership of CM Shinde, who has implemented the campaign system very fast and given justice to all, we will win 48 out of 48 Lok Sabha seats,” Samant said.
