Self-styled godwoman Sukhvinder Kaur aka Radhe Maa reached Kandivali police station at 12.15 pm amid a heavy police cordon on Friday to answer summons in a dowry demand and harassment case.
Kaur arrived in a white Toyota Fortune SUV accompanied by her aide Choti Maa and disciple Sanjeev Gupta and was whisked quickly inside after her car stopped at the stairs leading into the police station. Traffic on the S. V. Road outside the police station was held up in the minutes before the vehicle’s arrival.
Kaur was ordered to visit the police station and record her statement after a city sessions court on Wednesday rejected her hastily put up anticipatory bail application. Her lawyers on Thursday had also sent a letter to Kandivali police station conveying her inability to visit the police station on Friday and requested the date be moved to August 25.

Kaur is the seventh accused in a private complaint filed before the court in April by Kandivali resident Nikki Gupta, who has accused her estranged husband Nakul Gupta and in-laws, apart from Kaur for demanding Rs. 25 lakh prior to her marriage in 2012. The complaint also alleged that she was assaulted and forced to menial household tasks at her husband’s home in Borivali’s Radhe Maa Bhavan.
