Push for anthem in cinemas nationwide

Narendra Verma,who was instrumental in reviving the singing of the national anthem in cinema theatres in the state about four years ago,said he would meet the President and the Prime Minister to extend this across the country. “In Maharashtra it was stopped about 20 years ago,because people used to go out when it was being played after the movie was over. Now the national anthem is played at the beginning of the movie and I feel all theatres in the country should do so to ignite the spark of patriotism in wake of growing terrorism,” he said.
